MAVIS M60 Mark II הוא מגבר משולב היברידי היי-אנד. גרסת Mark II היא קפיצה משמעותית באיכות הצליל ביחס לדגם הקודם (הביקורת למעלה היא על הדגם הקודם).
כאמור, ה-M60 Mark II הוא מגבר היברידי, אבל לא במובן הנפוץ של המושג – כלומר, יחידת קדם-מגבר שפופרתית ויחידת כח טרנזיסטורית. לא, הוא יצור ייחודי בהגברה העולמית: במילים פשוטות, מדובר במגבר שפופרתי Single Ended עם יציאה טרנזיסטורית…

First launched in 2022, the M60 is developed in a design concept of an integrated Single-Ended Tube Amplifier – Class A Zero Feedback, enhanced by a powerful power stage. After many steps of optimization until the MK II of today, the M60 has become an outstanding tube hybrid amplifier with very good sound control.i
The M60 uses an Output Transformer (OPT) and an Output Transformer (IT) in the amplifier circuitry the same as other amplifier models in the MAVIS’s Master Series. Mavis’s transformer technology has been refined through many years of research and development, and is one of our core strengths. It enables exceptional dynamic performance and fast response, while preserving the natural, subtle, smooth, and highly detailed sonic character that defines Mavis’ amplification equipment.i
The output transformers (OPT) optimally designed large for the M60, contributing significantly to the amplifier’s exceptionally quiet and clean sonic background, while delivering a warm and sweet tonal character. The sound is deeply musical and natural, reflecting the classic emotional richness associated with tube amplification.i
Across the entire frequency spectrum, tonal reproduction is remarkably complete, with impressive dynamics and fine detail. The bass response is well-controlled and articulate, providing both authority and balance.i
The M60 is capable of driving speakers with sensitivities below 90dB effectively in small to medium-sized listening rooms (up to 60 square meters). When paired with high-sensitivity loudspeakers above 90dB, it can confidently control speakers equipped with large bass drivers and perform effortlessly even in listening spaces of up to 100 square meters.i
Driver Stage
The input and voltage amplifier stages use all 12AU7, EL84 tubes which are the best tube combination for a smooth, sweet and warm, emotional and natural sound.i
EL84 tube, a small power tube known for its distinctive warm sound, is used to amplify the current and control the power stage. Therefore, the sound is extremely seductive and emotional.i
Interstage Transformer (IT) and signal phase inversion is used to link the EL84 driver stage and Mosfet power stage. This way has the advantage of isolating the driver stage and power stage, making the stages operate separately and stably. IT is the optimal solution for a most stable and almost absolute balanced signal. In addition, using IT is always the top choice of experienced designers to achieve the finest quality of musicality.i
Power Stage
Using Input-to-Output Balanced Circuit is the advantage of this design, which is an excellent stability, low noise and very low distortion.i
The sound is more clean and detailed when the speaker output is True Balanced, so the two speaker terminals (+) and (-) are not connected to the Ground (GND) of the power supply.i
This amplifier uses true balanced outputs: DO NOT connect the speaker outputs to ground under any circumstance.i
